The Abbey Bistro

The Dryburgh's Abbey Bistro is located on the ground floor of the Hotel.  It caters for thirty covers with a flexible layout to suit all requirements, and most tables have lovely views of the river, Abbey or gardens.  There is a small patio which leads to an area where outside dining is very popular in the summer.

The emphasis is very much on high quality, fresh seasonal produce with many items sourced locally (some from within yards in the Kitchen Garden).  These are used to produce dishes which capture a unique style of cooking and love for modern Scottish cuisine.

The Bistro was awarded the "Bar Food Medal" at the Scottish Hotel Awards in 2010 but dishes served here are several levels above typical bar food.  Head Chef Peter Snelgar takes tremendous pride in his creations and strives to continually fine tune by introducing new twists and original touches.  Presentation is thoughtful and shows imagination and finesse throughout, while service is friendly and efficient.

The menu typically contains five starters, main courses and sweets as well as a good selection of open or closed sandwiches.  Children are very welcome and have their own menu.
