New Year Breaks Scotland

See the New Year in with style at the friendliest Hotel in the Scottish Borders. On arrival at the hotel a buffet afternoon tea awaits you followed by a Welcome Drinks reception prior to your evening meal.  Following dinner enjoy light entertainment in the lounge.

Hogmanay day in Scotland begins with a traditional Scottish Breakfast followed by a relaxing ride on the "Waggonette" around the grounds of the Hotel and along to the Abbey, or just take some time to admire the beautiful horses which will be pulling you along. A light lunch will be served after which you may wish to join us for some informal Country Dance Tuition. The evening begins with a champagne reception followed by a buffet gala dinner and dancing into the 'wee small hours'. Entertainment is provided by Iain McPhail Dance Band and Black Tie is required. Weather permitting the night ends with a fabulous fireworks display.

New Years Day begins gently with a Bloody Mary breakfast and the day is yours to relax and recover. Dinner this evening is followed by our TV & film theme night with live music from Angelstar.  Fancy Dress is optional, although a prize will be given for best costume.  A Caricaturist will be on hand to capture those funny moments with the drawings being yours at the end to take away with you.

The final morning sees yet another hearty Scottish Breakfast before we bid you all farewell for the journey home. Or maybe you would like to stay a wee bit longer? Based on previous guest feedback we are unable to accommodate children under the age of 15. If you have to cancel your reservation and we are unable to re-let the accommodation, a cancellation fee will be incurred equivalent to the package terms quoted.
